Jennifer Boles from the “Everywhere we Look” section of House Beautiful magazine describes this color as not quite lemon, not quite lime, but a happy family of hues between yellow and green that can’t help but uplift you. I couldn’t agree more! Especially, as I look at the forecast I can’t help but be reminded that fall is here. Don’t get me wrong. I absolutely LOVE fall! My birthday kicks off the season, football games and cider mills are on the horizon. And of course the changing of the leaves…and lets not forget all the fabulous boots at Nordstrom! I digress. Back to Quince. It has that “it” factor. You can find it in nail polish to rain boots. Heck, even our first lady rocked the color at the President’s Inaguration (as a reader pointed out to me thanks, Camille!) I first noticed this lemon-limey shade of goodness while shopping in a Manhattan boutique in 2008 looking for the perfect birthday dress and I’ve been seeing this shade ever since. It’s making a splash everywhere we look from fruit and first ladies to interiors. Think it’s safe to say…it’s everywhere!
Whether it’s in your wardrobe or home decor, how will you be incorporating Quince?

Awesome – I love this color too! It seems so fun and clean! One question for you though – what is CB2. I see other interior bloggers mention this as well but since I am ignorant in this area – please share!
Thanks for the comment, Starla! It’s part of the Crate & Barrel family of retailers. They have modern furniture and home accessories. See website http://www.cb2.com
Quince is the color of First Lady Michelle Obama’s elegant January 2009 Presidential InAuguration ensemble designed by Cuban-American Fashion Designer Isabel Toledo. Isabel Toledo decribes the color as “Lemon-Grass” which represents Optimism and Hope.

Your Welcome Rayne’e. That’s a great picture and color on First Lady Michelle Obama. You never know you may end up decorating the White House or a State Dinner with YOUR COLOR VISION.
HA! Wouldn’t that be something!
